- This painting holds very special memories from my trip to France last year. This ram has a 400 year old bell around it’s neck and leads his flock. He stopped and listened to my dangling ear buds to some music as I reached out and petted him. He didn’t linger but it was a very special moment captured as I was plein air painting a small little chapel with a statuette of Jesus with the lost sheep around his neck.
- There are two shows starting this upcoming weekend March 3rd. The Connecticut Pastel Society will be holding their Member show at Gallery 53 in Meriden. I have chosen Ewe (you) are Never alone. The opening reception is Saturday March 3, from 2-4.
and I have two acrylic paintings in the Rowayton Arts Center in their upcoming show “Brushworks”. My Moonlit Waters and A Field in Bloom. The opening reception is Sunday March 4 from 4-6. Hope to see you there.
- Just found out today that my pastel Poppies in Provence took first place at the Rowayton Art Center in their upcoming show Expressions. I am so very happy and honored. The judge said “the artist had a mastery with pastel and her strong composition and use of color and light was so beautiful. Looks just like Provence.” The opening reception is this coming Sunday 4-6. Please stop by and see the exhibit.
